Example Pack

For your preset package to be compatible with the Motion Bro plugin, you must organize the correct directory structure. You can download the example with Motion Bro Package to learn what the structure should be.

View Assets

Package Root Folder

The root folder should contain the following files and folders:

  • Folders with presets
  • Assets folder
  • Pack info file
  • Settings file (optional)

Folders with presets

These are folders with presets divided into categories. There must be at least one category.

Assets folder

The “(Assets)” folder contains Cover and Thumbnail files and, optionally, other files necessary for your package such as a JSXBIN script file.

For the Cover, you can use JPG file or an animated MP4 video file with a resolution of 480×270 pixels. 

For the Thumbnail, you can use PNG file with a resolution of 80×80 pixels.

Pack Info file

The file contains information about your package. It is a simple text file you can create with any text editor (such as Notepad).

Specify the following information in this file:

packName = Your Package Name
author = Your Nickname or Company
version = 1.0 // Package version number
apps = AE,PP // Specify a compatible application here (After Effects and/or Premiere Pro)

Settings file

The .settings file is optional. In it you can specify additional settings that will be applied to your preset when added to the timeline.

Folders with presets

The folders with presets can contain the following files and folders:

  • Presets files
  • Subfolders with presets files
  • Preview folder with preset preview files (optional)
  • Settings file (optional)

Presets files

Preset files can be located in the root of a category folder or in subcategory folders.

You can use the following file types as presets:

  • AEP
  • MP4
  • MOV
  • MP3
  • WAV
  • JPG
  • PNG
  • GIF
  • AI
  • EPS
  • PDF
  • FFX
  • JSX

Preview folder

The “(Preview)” folder contains preview files for the presets in this category.

The preview filename and preset filename must be the same. Preview resolution: 480 pixels wide.

Preview files are optional. The presets will be displayed as a button if you don’t add preview files.

The following types of files can be used as previews:

  • MP4
  • JPG
  • PNG
  • GIF
