Improved import of transitions and effects for Premiere Pro

Recently, I updated the script file for Premiere Pro, and below I will explain the improvements that have been made.

Import preset files two to three times faster

Previously, importing preset files into your project could take quite a long time—from 5 to 10 seconds, sometimes up to 15 seconds. This issue was due to the process of connecting to the Dynamic Link server, which consumed most of the import time.

Now, a different approach is used that allows the preset to be imported two to three times faster.

Fixed error ‘Unable to find the current project panel’

Earlier, during the import of preset files, it was essential that the current project panel was open in the Premiere Pro interface. If the script could not identify the current project panel, this error would occur.

Now, this issue has been resolved, and the script correctly determines into which project to import the files.

How to update?

To update the script file, simply reinstall the preset package – this will update the file during product activation.

NOTE! If after the update, you see the Link Media window when importing a transition, try downloading and installing the latest version of the preset package.
